Bailey at the Bloomfield Bridge Tavern.

I feel very appreciative of the fact that I was able to attend last night’s show at the Bloomfield Bridge Tavern. Bailey journeyed out from the UK and put it down for the people of Pittsburgh. I had never had the opportunity to see Bailey, and had only listened to his show on the BBC a few times back in the day. I did not doubt the fact that his praise was deserved, however. Let me tell you, all the hype I had heard about this man was not bullshit. He put it down, for real. I have seen many great drum and bass DJs play many great sets over the last 20 years, and I have to say this is one of the best I have ever seen. If any of you ever get the opportunity to see Bailey throw down, you better take it. You will be doing yourself a disservice if you do not. DJ Filcher did an admirable job of opening the room, Bob Teagarden brought out some serious sound, and many of my good friends were in attendance. All in all, a wonderful way to spend a Wednesday, even if I did have a two hour drive back to work in the morning. ThisShare via email
